Tanya Kern, Veterinary Assistant
I started working with Dr. Foote in 1999, I worked at that time for 2 years. Then my husband and I had our second child, at that time I stayed home with the kids for a few years. I started back with Dr. Foote in 2004, and I have been here since. I love everyday, you never know what is going to walk through the door. I also love the client relationships that I have built through the years and enjoy being able to help clients to keep their pet healthy. In all my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband of 10 years and our 2 children. We like to go camping, visiting zoos, watching Nascar, and anything outside or to do with animals. I collect Coca-Cola items. We also have our 3 yorkies, 2 english setters, and 3 cats to keep us on our feet. Lets just say we never have a dull moment.
Rachael Green, Certified Veterinary Technician In 2003, I graduated from Champaign's Parkland College with a Veterinary Technician degree. Since graduation I have been a member of a few professional clubs, including VTAI and NAVTA. I have worked in a couple clinics since graduating. I love working with animals and helping them stay healthy. As a child, I grew up on a farm with farm animals and several pets. We have owned horses, cattle, pigs, chickens, rabbits and a goat. I currently own a mini donkey named "Chester" who likes to play with our bull. I also have two dogs "Keyser" and "Cheyanne." In my spare time, I like to take photographs and sketch. Sudoku is also a favorite.
Debbie Gass, Certified Veterinary Technician
I have always loved animals of any type. I started out with an associates degree in Equine Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. Eventually I got a job at an animal emergency clinic in 1988 and fell in love with the field of veterinary medicine. I have lived in Illinois since 1990. I graduated from Parkland College in 1996 with a degree in Veterinary Technology and passed the state boards to become a licensed tech. I have been here with Dr. Foote since August of 2005. I enjoy being able to help both the animals and their caretakers. I run a home pet care service in the Champaign-Urbana area and sell Mary Kay products (http://www.marykay.com/dhathaway4/default.aspx - a portion of all my sales is donated to Hands 4 Paws). My spare time is spent reading, listening to music, spending time with my 3 cats and my husband, Brad.
